GitHub limits anonymous use to 60 requests an hour, about 20 contributor profiles. A free personal token raises that to 5,000 an hour, about 1,500 profiles. The token needs no permissions: it can only read public data. It is sent only to GitHub (api.github.com).
  1. Sign in to GitHub and open Settings → Developer settings → Fine-grained tokens → Generate new token.
  2. Name it something like "Repo Talent", choose an expiration, and set Repository access to "Public repositories". Leave all permissions alone.
  3. Click Generate token, copy it (it starts with github_pat_), and paste it above.

Find the engineers who actually build open-source software.

01 Paste a GitHub project above: owner/name or its link. Add several, separated by commas.
02 Pick your target language. Each contributor gets a language score and a last active date, so strong, current engineers rise to the top.
03 Group by level, score, activity, country or employer. See name, GitHub, location, LinkedIn and employer.
04 Press ☆ SAVE to build a shortlist with statuses and notes. People you've already seen are marked.
05 Export to CSV or copy into a spreadsheet. Do-not-contact people are always left out.

Don't know which projects to search? Open DISCOVER BY SPECIALTY above to find active
projects in your language by area (web backends, game engines, compilers, cloud…) and load several at once.

# tip: add a free GitHub token to load ~1,500 profiles an hour instead of ~20
